Jake Byrum, a Scottsdale, Arizona native. Recently graduated from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. Selected on the All-Western Athletic Conference Team following a solid senior campaign. Finished amateur/college year with 6 tournament low rounds, including a 65 in the Arizona Open which propelled him into contention on the final day as an amateur.
Son of Curt Byrum, an analyst for the NBC Golf Channel. Played 18 years on tour with one PGA Tour Victory at the 1989 John Deere Open. Also has an Uncle, Tom Byrum, who has had a decorated PGA Tour career with over 15 years of consecutive status.
Turning professional and following in both my Father and Uncle’s footsteps is the next priority in golf. Asian Tour Q-School is in the sights, along with Web.com Q-School and the various other sanctioned PGA Tours in the near future. In my spare time I enjoy music, hiking, and hunting with my buds.
